Position Overview
The Social Media Manager will play a crucial role in shaping our brand's online presence and community engagement. You will be responsible for creating, curating, and managing published content across various social media platforms. Your goal is to increase our online engagement, deepen our customer relationships, and drive traffic to our website.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative and engaging social media strategies aligned with our brand's goals.
- Manage day-to-day social media activities, including posting, responding to customer inquiries, and engaging with our online community.
- Analyze performance metrics and user engagement data to refine our social media strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create cohesive campaigns that reflect our brand voice.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging platforms to keep our strategy ahead of the curve.
- Assist in the development of social media policies and guidelines to ensure brand consistency across all platforms.
- Create visually appealing graphics or work with designers to produce high-quality visual content.
- Manage influencer partnerships and assess the impact of those collaborations on our brand perception.
- Coordinate with our local Jamaica Plain community to create engaging content that resonates with our audience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or in a similar role.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics, and best practices.
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is a plus.
